Stuff You Already Know

Maya was residing at the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) in Terryville, Connecticut. She introduced herself by snagging a pant leg and then proceeded to deftly "juggle" her collection of mouses! Maya came home with us on Sunday, March 12, 2000.

New Mews!!

Maya has been making herself quite at home over the last few months. She is not the most graceful of cats (Dad should have named these pages "Creatures That Go Bump In The Night"). She is definately more of a 'Four-On-The-Floor' , 'Keep-Me-On-Sweet-Terra-Firma' earth being. Still she has explored the house from top to bottom and has found plenty of perches and hidey-holes!

Unfortunately we have had some trouble getting rid of internal parasites. Maya has been good about taking her meds though and we're sure glad she is not a fussy eater, as we changed her diet several times. Remember 'Mary Poppins'? "a spoonful of wet food makes the medicine go down......". She says "food twice a day in my bowl is a good thing. I don't even mind coming when called for that!!"

P.S. She also understands "No!" as well as "Down!" but fortunately we do not have to make use of these reprimands often!! ~Maya Mom~
