![[I Took My
Collar Off!! nyah nyah!]](mpics/Sunny.jpg)

Maya was residing at the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) in Terryville, Connecticut. She introduced herself by snagging a pant leg and then proceeded to deftly "juggle" her collection of mouses! Maya came home with us on Sunday, March 12, 2000.

A dog is a dog.....but a cat's job is never done.
There are mice to catch and mice to
watch and a hamster that watches me; but the most difficult task of all is
keeping track of all the fishes. My favorite fish tank is the one in Dad's room,
where I can observe with all my four feet on the ground! It is also the
quarantine tank, which means that it is the first home for new fishes. When I
have ascertained that the fish are healthy, Mom moves them and I have to go find
them again! Sometimes I have to check with her to be sure that I have indeed
found the right fish. The easiest way to do this is to point (and click) with a
lifted paw and ask.
(she won't let me 'drag and drop' however)
Cat's don't like dogs. Well...I didn't like dogs. But I guess I never really met one......
.......until I moved into my new home that is. There was something big and furry and even though it was the right color, it did not smell like a cat. We quickly became the best of friends. Pookey wasn't fast enough to play accelerated cat-tag but that plumage she wore as a tail was great fun to play with!
Pookey also taught me an extremely effective ploy to use on my pet humans. Amazingly simple really! Just flop over at their feet! Simple tricks, simple minds but mm-mm how I love those tummy rubs!
